VisAbility Ltd and its Board of Directors are announcing effective 17 May 2019, after more than six years as Chief Executive Officer, Dr Clare Allen, is leaving to start the next chapter of her career.
While we are saddened to see Clare move on, we are delighted for her and wish her all the best in her future role.
During her time as CEO, Clare has made an extraordinary contribution to the organisation. Her strong vision for a contemporary organisation led not only to our rebranding and subsequent merger with Guide Dogs Tasmania, but set the organisation on a path of solid growth through unprecedented times of transitional change across our sector.
She has helped drive game-changing innovation and therapy and service delivery improvements which have resulted in national recognition from both funders and supporters.
On a personal note as Chair of the Board, I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I have valued Clare’s dedication. I have greatly enjoyed working with her and I know that experience has been shared by my colleagues on the board, management and staff.
We will miss Clare but she leaves VisAbility in a very strong position for the future and we sincerely thank her for her vision, leadership and contributions.
Mrs. Debbie Schaffer OAM, Chair of the Board, VisAbility Ltd
